Hydroxyethyl Cellulose (HEC) in Water-Based Paints

*Chemion AG's Complete Range of Biostable, High-Performance Rheology Modifiers*

Why HEC for Paint?

Hydroxyethyl Cellulose (HEC) is a water-soluble, non-ionic cellulose derivative widely used as a thickener, stabilizer, and rheology modifier in water-based coatings. In modern architectural and industrial paints, HEC plays a crucial role in:
- Controlling viscosity and flow behavior
- Suspending pigments and fillers
- Reducing spatter during application
- Improving leveling and finish
- Ensuring storage stability

Chemion AG’s HEC portfolio is specifically engineered to meet the needs of paint manufacturers seeking consistency, compatibility, and cost-efficiency.
